Who's going in February?

I just stopped by the Disney Store and took advantage of the 'buy 1 get 1 free' sale that they are having on all plush items. I bought DS the monsters inc guy that keeps getting shaved due to the "23-19" alarm. I chose the black bear from Brave for DD.

Just getting the wallet warmed up for our trip in 2 weeks!

I booked everything this morning, ready or not here we come Disneyland. I got a great deal at the Anabella, $127 a night for a premium room with the 3rd night free.

The only thing left is to head to the base sometime in the next two weeks to get our Military Salute tickets. :-)

We will look for you! My son has dark blonde hair and a gap between his 2 front teeth, I have long straight brown hair with no bangs--and my husband is 6'1 with usually a little spiky hair in the front. We will be getting in around 7pm on the 16th and probably go to Downtown Disney to grab a bite to eat....or maybe just hang out at the hotel. Say "hi" if you think you see us!

I am 5'4 with blond hair. DH is 5'11 with dark hair. DS has light brown hair and just lost 1 tooth on the bottom. I have Disney T-shirts and hoodies for DS and myself to wear everyday. We arrive around noon. Not sure exactly what our plans are. I know we will go to grocery store and probably explore DTD. I have a read on a couple of threads that people were able to add a 6th day onto the 5day PH at Guest Services so that complicates things. We fly out of Atlanta at 6:00am so we may be very tired by the time evening rolls around.

Out shopping for the trip in 2 weeks! We'll be there Feb. 25-Mar. 2. I'm getting so excited, we decided today to add another Character Breakfast to the trip!

Seven days to go until we head to Southern California! Going to San Diego first, then over to DL in 10 days from today! (Presidents day!) then a week if DL fun!! Yippee!!

So close. We fly out tomorrow morning at 6am. :cool1: Still have to take the dog to my in-laws house for the week and then to finish packing the last minute things.

We're here! It felt like it took forever to get here, but we made it. Today is our first park day, we're having breakfast with Minnie & Friends. DS4 is beyond excited!

Hi guys,

I am totally new to this board. Thank you for all this wonderful information...I've been lurking for a while.

So I wanted to ask you all if you think it will be crowded at Disneyland at the end of February because of Costco's discounted disneyland tickets needing to be used by 2/28/13? Do you think everyone who has been holding on to them will run to Disneyland that week or the week before? I have no idea how many there are out there but when I read about that I got nervous. It could be nothing though so wanted to ask.

Thanks for your opinions!

Hi! You may want to ask this question on the regular boards instead of on this thread, because there are a lot more people who may be able to answer. Good luck!

Our Costco's haven't had these tickets since late October, others I have checked also do not still sell them.

Good luck,

Jack

Thank you for the reply!

I guess I thought people might be holding on to them after buying them in October and maybe just realizing they are about to expire. I know I am really over analyzing this huh? I just know I do that with Groupons all the time and notice the restaurant is packed right before the Groupon expiration date because everyone does it last minute. I would think Disneyland is a much more planned out trip than a restaurant visit. I am in Los Angeles so I can see people here possibly going last minute though.

I always try to go in February and had a great experience on a Wednesday in Feb last year. I grew up down the street from Disneyland and am amazed at the crowds these days. It is way too packed! I was spoiled as a kid so now I try to go on the least crowded day of the year :)

I just finished my vist:( to let u know I grew up going to dl and remember days that it felt lime I was the only one in the park, now it seems there is crowded and slightly less crowded lol. That being said I just finished the most memerable magical time, it was amazing. My advice is go with the flow dont force anything and your trip with mold itself into into disney magic that you havent experienced before. Could just be me but I notice if im not in a hurry and let the trip "happen" magic presents itself. I may not experience everything this trip but what I do experience is amazing♥

Taking my three foster kids (two I will be adopting soon) to Disneyland for the first time. We leave on Friday and will spend Saturday thru Monday in the park. They have no idea we're going! They thing they're getting up early Friday so I can go to a doctor appt out of town, but when I drop them off at my friend's house to watch them she's going to remind me that we have a train to catch in two hours, then surprise! Will have to pack quickly and then take their first train ride ever to first Disney trip ever. Two 14 year old girls and a five year old boy should make my weekend one we will never forget. Have photo pass+, a family suite at an offsite hotel, suitcases they don't know they have yet, and packing lists typed up and ready to hand to them as soon as we get back home Friday morning. Counting down the hours now...

5 days to go! DS still has no idea.

I need to clean house (will be done Friday/Saturday), print out information about pets and their routines, and pack still. Normally I am somewhat packed by now. At least more than I currently am. I have to watch what I pack in advance because DS may get suspicious if he sees a lot of snacks being put in the luggage (he thinks we are visiting FIL).

Getting a bit antsy now.....
:cheer2:

Does it count that we are actully here right now? Lol! Arrived on feb 4 staying through to 18. Taking time to relax a lot, we needed an actual vacation. It has been great to wander over to ride 2 or 3 rides, catch a show, eat a good meal, then wander back to lay by pool in sun this week (last week was not pool weather!) off to Huntington Beach today :)

:wave2:
Hey everybody! Finally a moment to sit and gather my thoughts.
First a big thank you to everyone on this thread who helped share my excitement and listen to my ramblings about trip preparation and all the other details. It is great to be able to share your excitement with other people who are in the same position.

We had such a wonderful holiday! 11 days at the Disneyland resort is definitely not too many....except maybe for my wallet:goodvibes

There is not much that we missed. We ticked the attractions and entertainment off on the maps as we did them and other than the things that were under refurb we only missed 2 and they were no big deal to us.

We loved our cabana day at the Grand Californian on Superbowl sunday. That was true luxury. DD swam all day and DH and I watched the game in the cabana with a picnic lunch.

The Villas at the Grand are awesome and the convienience was definitely worth the cost. It was so great to be able to walk back and pick up a coat and grab a quick drink and have a bit of a break and be back in the park in 5 minutes.

As I left the park for the final time on sunday evening....I walked through the tunnel....turned and looked at the bronze plaque above me and said my thank you to Mr.Disney. However, unlike last time,I did not cry,but smiled all the way back to my hotel. I truly felt happy and fullfilled.:lovestruc

We are now annual passholders and I thought we would go back in September for my 50th bday..but I think I am good for at least a year now....
but we will see ;)
