I haven't seen many Tokyo Dining reviews. That looks quite good as I am a huge sushi fan.
Great, great review. Look forward to more!

Tokyo Dining Lunch
I dont think he fully paid attention in the past when I recounted our dining line up and showed him photos of what we ate In fact, I think he wasnt paying much attention when I was planning the trip and would rather go to his man cave and watch Swamp People on TV versus looking at dining menus with me! Hmph!!
The hostess provided hot towels sheesh! I was a little worried that Michael would do a repeat of his airplane antics and start washing his feet or the windows. However, I was pleased that he maintained his decorum and simply used them in the manner for which they were intended.
Seeing as how I wasnt that hungry, I decided to see if Em would split an entrée. Wouldnt you know it, she ordered exactly what I wanted to eat but she declared that she was hungry enough to eat it all by herself!
Emily ordered the Grilled Breast of Chicken ($21.95) fresh boneless breast served with teriyaki sauce, fresh veggies [broccoli, carrots, & green beans], and a scoop of steamed rice.
It was during this meal that I got out my List of 18 from Jabead and texted her this photo to show that I was actively working the list. Also, I had to announce that I had already accomplished item #14!
That edamame was NOT enough to share!! Everything looked yummy!
The meal looks good! I'd lean towards the sushi! I had never had it before moving to CA and now I love it!
More vegetable tempura would have been good! I love it when they do squash tempura! And Broccoli is good too!
This is my first DR that I'm subbing into!
I am ashamed to say that I didn't know that Tokyo Dining existed. I guess I just haven't heard a lot about it??? In my defense, I am still learning a LOT about the dining in WDW Growing up, we never had a "real" meal at WDW. I'm willing to learn though!
Wow, you are two for three on the impression scale it seems!! My goodness, I am not a sushi person, but your tempura and the chicken/rice combo look wonderful! I've not eaten there yet, as it is hard to bypass Teppan Edo.
Looking forward to more yumminess!!
I tried Tokyo Dining for the first time last year and really liked it. The ambiance was modern and peaceful, the food was solid, the service was great, and the view of the lagoon was awesome. I'm so happy to see that your meal there was very good overall! I have to try that chocolate ginger cake sometime. And the origami is beautiful.
Joining in..a little late. Tokyo dining looks so yummy! I will have to place that on my list. The Tempura shrimp looks very light (well as light as fried food can be). We loved Cape May for breakfast too. Keep your wonderful reviews coming!
Oh my, I can't believe I hadn't realised you had started your reviews. My apologies for my tardiness, I will try to do better as we go through.
Great start to your reviews. Your plane food looked WAY better than ours - obviously the difference between first class and economy. And a real glass as well. My, how the other half live
That pizza from the BW pizza window looked completely gross. And how grumpy is that pizza window guy. I think there should now be an open DIS challenge to try and get the guy to crack a smile
Tokyo Dining looked great (apart from that gross-out kissing picture ), as did your breakfast at Cape May. Although we ended up quite liking the Beach Club, the one thing I hated about it was the smell from Cape May in the evening. We are NOT fans of fish and seafood and the smell of the clam bake made us both feel rather ill so we tried to avoid that area while dinner was being served. I think I might try breakfast though, it looked really good. You can't go wrong with any meal that involves Mickey waffles
Great meal at Tokyo Dining! We really like it there too. We go out for sushi alot at home so we usually don't make a reservation in favor of places that have food we can't get as readily at home, then by the end of the trip we find ourselves craving it. Fortunately, we've been able to walk-in with no reservations the last few trips (even on a Saturday night!). I love the atmosphere and the service is always so gracious.

Great, great review. Look forward to more!

I think I have finally stopped giggling after have full blown hysteria over your funny comments - especially this one. He really is an "oh look at the shiny lights" ADD type!!!
Whoa, you really weren't very hungry if you wanted to share this meal! Let's see, that would be 3 bites of chicken, 1 piece of broccoli, 1 1/2 baby carrots, 6 green beans, and a tblsp. of rice! Now I know why you are so slim and trim, Brenda!
Well, that and all the miles you run everyday!
Ha!!! You had me wondering what I was thinking but I looked up what I ate last time and I think I have an answer... We went there for dinner last time and they give you more chicken - the veggies look the same. Here's my plate last time:
Yay, it's the first picture text I received from you!!! Well, actually that isn't completely true because my DS actually got it first. We had gone out for lunch that day and he had forgotten his phone at home. Of course, he couldn't possibly be without a phone (and in constant contact with his friends) so he borrowed mine. When your text came in, he announced to everyone..."Mom just got a text from someone named Brenda with a picture of a pretty lady." Boy did I get a strange look from my DH right about then!
Again, so funny!!
Being the mature adult that I am, I have just one thing to say regarding this photo...

The tempura shrimp and edamame at Tokyo Dining look very yummy to me.
You and your husband are so cute! Looks like everyone is having a good time.
I feel like a DISBoards hobo hopping on the dining review train after it has already left the station, but here I am!
Loving it so far! That chocolate ginger cake looks scrumptious. ^.^ Can't wait to read more!
Hi Michelle!! Thanks for joining!!! You know what happens when you take kids to dinner - gotta keep an eye on them! Even when they are 50!I'm late, but here!! LOL! I'm loving your dining report! I am so anxious to read more!!
Love the hot towels!! LOL! I can't wait to read more!! I'm laughing hysterically at your kissing photo. Too funny!!
Your lunch looks yummy. We have never eaten in Japan in WS (we are doing Teppan Edo in December for lunch). It looks like I'll have to put Tokyo Dining on my radar for next year's trip. Although I don't eat Sushi, yours and Em's food looks really yummy. I love the "anniversary kiss."
That is one place I haven't tried but really would like too, as I love sushi and Japanese food in general. Your shrimp tempura looked really good. BTW the next time I go out to DLR I will have to let you know, it's my favorite in the whole world, even more than WDW if you can believe that.
We love sushi and have California Grill planned, how does the sushi rolls at Tokyo compare?
Tokyo Dining looks yummy! Love reading your reviews!
Oh my, page 8 and I am only just joining in! Your airplane food looks way nicer than ours. lol at the poor pizza guy. Have to agree with Wilmabride about the evening smells from Cape May, when I had to go past I tried not to breathe in ph-ew.
Looking forward to reading more (and perhaps making a cameo appearance later in the trip )
Just found your report Brenda! I'm all caught up and waiting for more! We have our first Cape May breakfast in a few weeks. I definitely see things we will all enjoy.
I had Tokyo Dining on my list of ADRs at one point and then I took it off. I think I will definitely try it next time though.
You and Michael are so cute! And make sure you post some photos of him in his Packers shirt.
I love Tokyo Dining, and your meal looks fantastic! The comments about your hubby and the towel really killed me though, as did Barb's story about her son getting your text! You have a beautiful family Brenda!
Hi
You and hubby are so cute together!! I'm going to have to try Tokyo Dining on my next trip!! The tempura looks great. Can you get more tempura veggies on the side and just pay extra for them? Thanks!!
Hi Brenda! I am so late so I have to go back and catch up...just wanted to tell you what a gorgeous family you have and I have pen and pad ready to make any changes/additions to my plans next month!
