Caitlin, just noticed you have 999 posts!! Wow!!!

That is a lot! It must be from all of the TRs we have done because I don't remember commenting on any other TRs that often

We were up early on our last day and went out on the balcony for a last coffee only to discover it was HOT!! That August heat and humidity that we'd somehow managed to avoid, had arrived and it was only 6:30. I must admit that the weather that day did make it easier to head home.

We got ready, grabbed our luggage and headed to Bell Services. We did airline check-in, handed over our bags and grabbed a cab. You see, we had a breakfast adr at a Dis favorite. Before long, we were at the Polynesian for breakfast at....

As you can see, at 8am Kona was not busy

Perhaps as a result, we got extra good service because despite the negative things I've heard on the Dis about the Kona staff, our server was wonderful!


Dale and Caitlin got the Kona French Press pot and I ordered my usual Coke. They loved the Kona pot! What did we eat? Well not what you might suspect. Nope, we did not order that Dis favorite "Tonga Toast". That sugary concoction did not appeal to any of us. Instead, Dale got the fruit plate

while Caitlin and I split the "Big Kahuna". Since we forgot to get a picture of our wonderful meal, this is what was in it... French Toast, Macadamia-Pineapple pancakes, eggs, home fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage. All that for $11.99! It was delicious and more than enough for the 2 of us! A great deal!

We all really enjoyed our meal and look forward to trying lunch there in about 10 days!

On the way to the Monorail, Caitlin spotted a Hidden Mickey

We grabbed the monorail and arrived at the MK in time for rope drop. As luck would have it, the trolley was there waiting and we hopped on for my favorite way down Main Street! (unfortunately Dale had to walk as this rude woman refused to move over so he could sit down ) When we were about halfway down the street the Dapper Dan's hopped on the back and serenaded the trolley. It was so cool and Caitlin told me just the other day it is one of her favorite memories from that trip.

As we headed into Fantasyland Dale grabbed a castle pic from upclose

Our first attraction that morning was one of our favorites. Who doesn't love Philharmagic?

I have no idea why Dale gets such goofy looks when he tries on a hat

Next up was a bathroom break and Dale wandered around Pinocchio's restaurant taking pics. Can you believe in all our visits we've never ordered even a soft drink here?

We were soon headed toward Toon Town and our way we passed the carrousel

and a practically perfect nanny

(FYI-what they say about Chimney Sweeps isn't true. Dale shook his hand and the luck DID NOT RUB OFF )

When we arrived at the Toon Town rope drop things got interesting.

If you've read our prior TR's you may remember that every trip I have an interesting "encounter". (for a couple of examples...There was the guy who cut in front of us at Snow White and then gave me a hard time about it, there was the woman who hit me at the bathroom in Epcot) Well this trip had been drama free right up until this moment....
We get to the rope and there are a few people at one end, an empty ecv mid-rope and down from that was an empty stroller. I went to the rope and stood in the ample room between the ecv and stroller and Dale and Caitlin lined up behind me. Simple right? NOPE!! An older woman comes up and tells me to "move" because that's her ecv. I explained to her I hadn't moved the ecv and there was room for both of us. She then tells me the stroller is her granddaughter's so I can't stand between them because they're "together". I was rather dumbfounded at the moment and didn't say anything or move and she starts yelling at me, in a hateful tone, saying "MOVE" or "I'll run you down and KILL YOU!" At this point a CM comes over and explains to her that if she wanted the entire rope maybe they should have stayed and not left their things and walked around. That didn't go well with her and led to more yelling. It was crazy! Thankfully, it was time to drop the rope and it stopped the madness and luckily I avoided being run over by her. When we got to

to see the Fairies, Karma stepped in. When they were taking groups in they needed a small one so we were taken in front of that crazy woman's party

I love how Caitlin always looks like an excited 6 year old when she meets the Fairies

Rosetta told Caitlin she looked like a Caterpillar

After visiting the Fairies (and avoiding my untimely death) we decided to ride the Barnstormer one last time before it closed...

There was a very cute CM running the ride who kept smiling at Caitlin and checking her out but since we only had a few hours left she waved and we continued on our way.

We headed into Tomorrowland where we escaped the stifling humidity by paying a visit to our Monster pals.

As you may know, Caitlin has always wanted Dale to get picked to be "That Guy". Well he didn't get picked for that but he did get picked to be Randall. He had a lot of fun with it and it was some nice magic to our day.

We then crossed over and visited Stitch.

Now we normally skip this ride, Caitlin hates the smell of his burp, but we wanted to stay in air-conditioning so what the heck? It turned out that this was Caitlin's lucky day because there was no smell! She actually enjoyed the show!

When we left Stitch it was still early (before 11) but we needed some refreshment! And where is the best place in the MK for that?

Yep! It was time for a Dole Whip.

Now to be honest, I've never really cared for the Dole Whip. I don't know if it was the heat or the humidity, but that Dole Whip tasted amazing! The 3 of us shared it and finished it in no time

After our snack we rode Pirates for the last time that trip and then it was time for lunch. I'm going to end here because Caitlin wants to tell you all about our meal and the Dis legend we met there.....

Wow I can't believe somebody would have the nerve to speak to someone like that, that's crazy!

Okay so I need to add the story about my dad as Randall because it was another of those awesome moments from our last trip. When they said he was Randall and they showed him up on the screen he turned to me and said "What do I do?" I said "You need to hide!" So he got down so you couldn't see him on the monitor and the two headed monster stood there with their mouths open like this and then they turn to each other and said "Where did he go? He is very good at this!" I was cracking up and I was glad my dad got in to the spirit of the show

I don't know why it still shocks me when people behave that way but it does!! I cannot believe she said she would kill you....can you say LOON!!! Anyhoo, you're the bigger person, ALWAYS, and far too much of a lady to entertain someone so ignorant!

Your Kona breakfast sounded so yummy, once again, I want to have breakfast there and once again we didn't book it this trip

Dawn, Dawn, Dawn.....Why Is IT that you just can't stay away from confrontation????? You meet the craziest people. Seriously, WTH?????I wish you could have snuck a picture of her. She sounds charming.

If Caitlin ever moves to Florida she definitely needs to get a job as a fairy princess. She would be perfect.

All of your pictures from your last morning are perfect. I love the one with Caitlin and the Daper Dans and I love the one of Dale in that hat.

Great update!!! And that woman was just awful!! Even worse that she got to stay in the park and keep being nasty. I think they should remove people who act like maniacs. Just sayin........
