First Dream Castle Trip Report Complete

On with Day 2-

After a much needed lazy morning (and an Atkins bar for breakfast:sad2:) I headed off to the Studios. Let me just say what a fun day! I think I am enjoying the Studios more and more each visit. Just wish I could do all the thrill rides - alas my body doesn't cooperate. Anyway - I started in Toystory Playland. Last time I went through TSPL it was a cold, rainy very unpleasant day. This however was a fair weather day - and I really enjoyed being able to walk slowly sans rain poncho and soak in the theming a bit more. It really is well themed!:wizard:

I wanted to do an attraction I had missed before so I started with RC Racer - I was a little concerned this would be too much for me - but I loved it and wasn't ill. Only thing - I went to the single rider line and was group with three teenage boys - ok no problem but I didn't know how to do anything - how to sit in the thing, put my bag in the box, fasten the seatbelt, get out of the seatbelt - :rotfl2: - I mean I felt like the younguns had to help grandma here! It was embarrassing.:rolleyes1 Really!

Then it was off to lunch at Rendevous de Stars - and not realizing I booked for 2'oclock there was a special 25% off for annual passholders after 2pm!!;)

This was a gorgeous meal and I took my time and enjoyed! :) I also thought the chef with Remy was really good - the kids were all flocking around the Remy cart - it was very cute to see their faces light up!

After finishing with a nice coffee - included in the price of the buffet - it was off to Lights, Motors, Action - something I also enjoy probably because it is bilingual - somehow I really like that!

After that I went to Animagique - which was really enjoyable!:wizard: And then it was time to shop - I decided that since this might be my last trip to DLRP I was going to get some souvies. Settled on a pin and two DLRP T shirts!

All in all - a really great day at the Studios!:woohoo:

I love the Studios and Restaurant des Stars too :lovestruc.

Loving your trip report! and the photos are excellent! Poor you missing Breakfast - an atkins bar just wouldn't do it for me!....have to say your lunch looked lovely - have not tired this restaurant in all the times we have been - must put it on my to do list!

really enjoying this, i was there too, we had great weather, and the crowd...what crowds? hehe, i love 5 min wait times :)

Great TR, cant wait to read more. A solo trip seems so laid back and relaxed. I do hope you get back to DLP! Maybe with a bit of :wizard:

Great report! Restaurant des Stars is one of my favourites too. :)

Res. de Stars is something I have been doing the past few trips on my Studios day - if you don't mind a buffet, they have a good variety of dishes and in my opinion more satisfying than a burger.:thumbsup2

Yeah - the wait times were almost non existent and since the weather was pretty decent it really made for a nice trip!! Hope you had a great trip!:goodvibes

Yeah the joys of a solo trip are a happy discovery - I suppose as a solo traveler "Disney" has a fairly "safe" feel to it - doing what you want when you want is relaxing. May be one day I'll get to go again!princess:

Onward to Day 3 - I'll be leaving town so wanted to finish the trip report before heading to the airport.

Finally I was able to get some decent sleep the second night and so woke up at a fairly normal hour - ahhh - sleep - :cloud9:. I certainly didn't want to miss breakfast a second time!

I headed down about 9:30am I think and the breakfast room was not very crowded - things in general were not crowded. The breakfast was a full buffet - juices, yogurt, fruit, cereal, breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, crepes, sausages, bacon and of course coffee/tea/hot chocolate. It was comparable to the Magic Circus - nice though that the Dream Castle has a microwave to heat things up if they are cold - so you never have to have cold eggs here!:thumbsup2 I do prefer the breakfast area at the Magic Circus - just nicer in my opinion.

I then headed off to Disneyland Park where I enjoyed just about everything - I decided today I'd just take photos of what I enjoyed. I started in Frontierland - Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain, then headed to Adventureland to Pirates - on the Fantasyland and It's a Small World - a moment to watch the New Generation Festival and back to Adventureland to have lunch at Agrabah - one of my favorite buffets! Of course I think I did Buzz a few times in there - always trying to perfect my technique - you know it was just this trip I realized you can move the car with the joy stick -!

Love Mickey!!!

I then decided to head back to the Studios - browse in the shops a bit more and take some more photos before walking back to the hotel by way of the Esso station at the Santa Fe. I had a friend who has asked me to bring her some cheese - so had to get that before packing.

After a stop in the Studios I headed back to the hotel via the Village and the Esso garage near the Santa Fe - I needed to buy some cheese for a friend. I thought it was an easy walk to the Dream Castle - and took 30 minutes. I stopped by the Hotel New York and Sequoia Lodge on the way. There were hundreds of conventioners though which made me want to leave pretty quickly -:rotfl2:. I loved the look of both hotels and if I were going to have more DLRP trips I think I have to try them both!:)

Another note about the Dream Castle - this trip I will say the shuttle buses to the parks were great!:goodvibes I hardly waited more than 10 minutes. Much improved service!:thumbsup2

I returned to my hotel to rest, pack and watch a little tv before bed - watched the Disney top ten in several languages.

The last day of my trip was basically a travel day - so no Disney fun - :sad2:. I ate breakfast and checked out of my hotel and was at the VEA Disney Bus Stop for transport to Orly by 10:00am - had plenty of time because my flight was at 2:00pm. Honestly I much prefer CDG to Orly now that I have experienced traveling through both but the discount airlines to Turkey go out of Orly.

The weather was gorgeous - and we stopped by all the hotels picking up a few people as we went. All in all this was a really nice DLRP trip!:goodvibes Thanks for reading!
