Sorry if my post was confusing. We are going in Nov 09 so we were able to book with free dining (which was a better deal for us even staying deluxe since we are 5 people).

I think I read some people had a pin for free dining in 2010, but I'm not 100% sure. No other free dining offers for 2010 yet.

Our AAA agent was able to get the discount applied for us and another family. 7 nights at the Poly for $3500. Unfortunately the third family we are travelling with couldn't get the discount cuz they were out of specials at the Poly. Hopefully when they release the deal more rooms will open up.

only accommodation open w/dining plan my dates (12/5 - 12/12, 7 nights), was the YC Standard room @ $3,050 for 3 pp.

CM indicated that all remaining moderate rooms in inventory r 'blocked out' for pop warner, so she couldn't run the numbers for my current ressie. I ran numbers myself (thinking to ask to speak to a supervisor to switch the rate...for POR standard, it'd be $570+ more vs FDP we have currently booked), guess i'm happy with my great rate lol

I was just told there was nothing at all excpet for the Yacht Club for the end of November into December!!! So I am paying almost the same for 3 nights as others are for 7.... It stinks big time.

She said no moderates or deluxe at all .. ONLY the Yacht Club.. which adds on a lot more.

I wish we could go, but our daughter is going to be born December 25th issh and I think 3 months is a little too early to be taking her to WDW along with her 21 month old sister.

Buy a 5-night/5 day vacation package at a VALUE resort, get a 7-night/7-day package. That's 2 FREE hotel nights and 2 extra days on your theme park admission tickets, equivalent to a 29% discount on your room and tickets! You must buy a package that includes at least 5 nights' accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel plus minimum 5-day Magic Your Way Base Tickets to qualify for the 2 FREE nights and the 2 extra days on your tickets.

Extra days on a ticket don't cost that much, so the primary savings are on the hotel room portion, so the higher category hotels offer the most total savings.

To calculate your approximate savings on a "buy 4, get 7" package at a Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort:

Multiply the room rate (2009 or 2010) times 3 (savings of 3 nights' room rate).

You can stay less than 7 nights, but you still must purchase 4 nights at a Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort, or 5 nights at a Value resort, so you'll end up with fewer free nights/extra days. The minimum total stay to make this offer worthwhile at all would be 5 nights at a Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort, or 6 nights at a Value resort. Obviously a 7-night stay is the best deal!

You can add the Quick Service Dining Plan for 2009 or 2010, the regular Dining Plan for 2009 or 2010, or the Deluxe Dining Plan for 2009 or 2010, but you will pay full price for your dining plan (no free days of dining).

Did someone get a Standard Room at WL?

I had a package booked with a Standard Room and the CM told me I could not apply the 4/3 discount to a Standard Room, only Woods View and Courtyard View.

I switched to AKL - but I'd rather be at WL. The price difference is about $300 between AKL Pool View and WL Woods View - so for now I'm staying at AKL, but if anyone got a Standard Room, please let me know so I can switch back.

....yes, we got a standard view at the WL for Jan 3-10. Availability depends on dates of your stay, so some dates might be tight while others are more available. When we called the CM said there were only 2 left for those dates. We had a room only res we made previously, so have no clue whether that might have mattered or not...

We are going Jan 30th-Feb 6th and got WL woods view but didn't ask for standard room. Last year for Free dining in Dec. all we could get was courtyard view. There are very little standard rooms there and they can usually fill those without a discount. I figured it to only be $157 more for 7 nights woods vs. standard. We eat b'fast on on balcony so that view will be nice anyway.

Ok I need help. LOL. I was quoted 2980.00 for the following dates 11/19/09-11/26/09 in the courtyard view with a queen and two bunk beds. I keep coming up w/ $2460.49 when I do a 4 day quote online and than just add in the dining for me, DH and DS6. Can someone tell me if I am right or wrong?

Make sure you're adding 7 days of dining to 4 nights of hotel, not just 4 nights of dining. Also, from what I understand, dining has gone up for nexy year, so make sure you have right price.

Yes I did add the additional cost of dining. I don't get it. LOL. When I quoted it online I got 2321.48 (w/ins) and than I added 272.91 for the additonal dining. She says I have to be doing it wrong.

ETA: This experience and proved to me that I should have done all of this on my own and not a TA. UGG.

Does anyone know the answer to the question that if your dates start out at a cheaper rate but get more expensive, does Disney take an average rate, or do they just use the first four dates as your "paid" ones and the other 3 as free, regardless of the fact that they are higher. We overlap with a holiday weekend for our last 2 days and the rates go way up. Just want to see if what I would be getting with the 4/3 would really be better than my discount I have right now. Thanks.
