December 2009 Code Watch

Just called and only value with AP discount available is All Star Sports for 12/5and 12/6. I thought this would be the first resort booked since that is when I understand Pop Warner groups arrive. (I'm a little nervous to be at All Stars with the noise and crowds of the Pop Warner kids with my three lil grandkids on their first trip).

Also only mod with availability was CBR, but only for 12/6 (not 12/5).

I am runnin' into nuthin' but obstacles here! I wonder why they didn't just blackout the dates with no availability!

Hope I can work out something with the Disney Visa code!!!

Can anyone here give me some info on how the disney visa discounts work?We have a ressie that is paid in fuul for Nov 26-Dec2. i am twempted to get a disney visa tonight to take advantage of the disney visa discounts, but doesn't the trip have to be charged to the visa?? How would that work if I have already paid in full??

You will not get approved for the Visa as soon as you apply, just fyi. It took us nearly two weeks to get things sorted through their process, and another week to get our card with the card number. They sent my mom a pre-approved letter begging her to join (she has nearly perfect credit), and after she called, it still took a week to get her card in (and, the account number you'll need to set up your online account.)

It takes a few days to find out if you're even approved, too. That's what took forever with our card.

But, if you want to try for any upcoming Visa deals, I definitely rec applying. Plus, you can put your trip on the card, pay it off, and have some Rewards Dollas.

Thanks princessmom29.

That news is discouraging. We've never been there before 12/11, but the other people in our group can't go at that time. We'll just have to deal with it.

I've been told that POP will be at the All-Stars and CSR. (Those are their official resorts.) There may be spill over if the POP people decide to pick a different resort, but I'm not worried (we're staying at Pop, too.)

Thanks for the info. The only reason I asked was b/c when I went to their site it said apply today and use your visa to book your vacation today. i got the impression that you could do that from what they were saying on the web site. apparently it is more complicated.

We were told on the other thread that the Pop Warner bookings had already outstripped the availiblity at those resorts and were spilling over to others. I am reporting second hand inof form another disser, so i can't be completely certian this is correct, though I have heard reports of people trying to book and finding no availibility at some all stars.

We were able to apply online and book the Disney Visa deal right away last year with our newly approved Disney Visa. I think it may depend on how quickly they can approve your credit. It's worth a shot!

That's how it worked for me...I applied online and was approved instantly and used my new Disney Visa account to pay for my deposit all during the same online session. No problem. Card arrived about 10 days later. Now, I was not using a Disney Visa code at that point, but I did apply one later (and then applied an AP code that was slightly better). It all worked fine. This was just a couple of months ago for our July trip, so unless things have changed, I believe you can still do this if you are able to get the online approval. I will note that when my actual card came, the credit limit was quite a bit higher than what it told me I had online.

Anyone get a Visa discount? Im just curious does anyone know where it would appear first?

As far as I can tell, nothing yet. I've checked the "usual" places and haven't had a stitch of luck finding anything. Isn't this abnormal? Don't they usually offer it a day or two after AP discounts?????

Ok, I just called and asked if there was a special discount for Disney Visa holders? The CM was very helpful and very eager to look. When she couldn't find anything she told me "to make sure and keep checking because there was an offer coming in the next couple of days." "Right now the offer she has bokking through October..." I stopped short of asking if she could just apply that one ;)

Here is the speculation part...

There are only 3 days left to book free dining. I think that the next offer will be out when that offer ends. I want it to be free dining so bad I can't stand it, but only time will tell.

I just booked it! Free Dining. :) It is just QS at Values though.

The other thread said it was out, so I called w/out the code.

CM was hesitant at first w/out the code, but she did it. Wouldn't give me the code though.

Good Luck everyone!

I hope it's ok for my first post to be here...I've been lurking on your boards for a while now and have found all of your advice to be very helpful.:)

I received a pin code by email yesterday for free dining. Do you know if everyone in our Grand Gathering (12 of us) can use this code? Or is it just for my family?

Thanks for your help.:)

I am starting to feel like the only one who can't get a discount! I'm happy for everyone that has but I wish I could get one too! :confused3

I just called and the FD offer didn't work out to be much of a deal for us. We already had a super room rate at AKL and after pricing out this offer, it was a savings of $9 dollars each on the regular price of the dining plan. Our room rate went way up. Oh well...:sad2:

do you mind me asking the rate you got? would love akl but prob it's po for us.

Got it! Wooo Hooo! If you go on the Disney website, there's no expiration date for the free dining plan... I got this through my agent...she applied it automatically and said it was an offer from the Disney Visa card.

Oh yeah!!!

You can apply the pin code to you and up to three other (or was it three total... someone will correct me if I'm wrong) reservations that are "in your party"

Hope that helps!

Just called, tell the CM that you have the Disney Rewards Visa and you want to apply the FD to your reservation, not a problem at all! Didn't work for myself, just going for a short weekend in October and off-site in December. But pixie dust to all you trying for it! :wizard:
