Today is Lizzy's 9th birthday. We'll just do cupcakes tonight (store bought) and do cake at MIL's on Sunday. She picked a Pooh cake but thought about going with a plain cake. I'm glad I have at least this one more year of a kiddie cake with her.

I don't know how I missed this one the first time around!!

All this talk of airfare. I really need to stop at the airport tomorrow and purchase our tickets. It will save $50 over purchasing them online. But I need to do it soon as I am afraid prices and fees may go up.

I was gonna stop this morning, but I did not get up early enough to do so. As I think I may have some sort of stomach bug. I only ate some bread and drank some coke today, as my tummy feels wacky.

I hope all of you are doing well.

I was talking to a girlfriend on the way home from work about that! It'd be cheaper to buy a seat for my luggage. Heck, women buy seats for their wedding dress, why can't I buy it for my 29" luggage!? (And just wait - someone is gonna do this and it's gonna cause quite a stir!)

If you are willing to pay for a seat I don't see why they would care what you do with it. But of course they DO care. I should call and ask if I can buy a seat for my bag, just to see what sort of response I get!

I feel the same way about they hysterectomy, Elizabeth! If you're done using it, no use having it hang around. Good luck. You all remain in my prayers!

Happy Birthday Lizzy.

Well if you adopt me, you can have kiddie cakes forever.

I tried to order a kiddie cake for my birthday but they didn't have the kit for the one I wanted so I went with flip flops. I don't think I told you guys I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for me instead of a 1/4 sheet. I guess DH, Lizzy & Joe had lots of cake to eat while I was at WDW.

I'm happy that Lizzy is still willing to be a child for at least 1 more year.

Bernadette, did you say I should have MORE KIDS? Are you INSANE? I don't want more kids. And even if I DID want more kids my back wouldn't be on board with that plan. I am on my 8th child as it is, thank you very much. And I am rather pleased that child #8 is going off to her grandparents so I can have 2 weeks off!

I told DH we should just buy another SEAT with the money they will charge us for baggage. It would almost be cheaper.

OK so I probably shouldn't admit that I honestly didn't even think that you would have to buy the extra kids a ticket. Some Cost Accountant I am. Maybe you should look into Owner's Locker now that you are DVC members. I ironically will have to go to 2 checked bags in August now that I have the Owner's Locker and won't be shipping anything down.

That's why I love my sister! She makes the cakes for all our family birthdays, and with 11 grandchildren (so far) there will be kiddie cakes for years. We went there on Monday for a birthday party and got a pirate Mickey cake. It was yummy, too! Chocolate with chocolate ganache filling! Yummo!!!!!

So we have our flight to California on Thursday, our rental car to our hotel that night, our hotel reservation for Thursday to Saturday night, and our transportation to the port on Sunday.

So we only have to figure out the transportation from Port Canaveral in Florida and then our flight home, plus insurance. Then all of the major details will be worked out.

Glynis we took your hotel advice. The best part is we can check our Avis rental car in right at the front desk. As we are only keeping it for one day and then just walking around. To get to the port we are using bus transportation that DISboarders arranged. They are renting 3 busses, but they might need a 4th.

Now to figure out if one or two days at Disneyland. I would love to do the two days, but I do not know if that will happen as everybody else seems to want to go one day.

It sounds like you are going to have a very fun time! I'm so jealous! I wish that I could come. However, I would have to give up my favorite rides, which I hate to do, so I guess I'll wait until 2009.

I already got it from you, a few months ago. As originally we were talking about just doing California for a bunch of days. If I get back to California I want to go back when the Holiday decorations are up.

I would like to do Disneyland on Friday August 15th, but we will probably end up going on Saturday. Friday we will do downtown Disney and maybe some other stuff. We are meeting relatives out there at some point. Probably when we do Disneyland as they live in CA but have not been for a few years.

My concern with them joining us at Disneyland is I want to see as much as possible and that may not happen. Although the park is from 8am to midnight and even if others do not want to be at the park all day I might run stay for most of that time. I know I will be too excited to sleep. I figure I can sleep on the first sea day on the ship.

I have to come up with some 50th b-day door signs for my Mom's stateroom. I also want to buy some decorations ahead of time and ask their stateroom host to put them in the room. I also have to come up with some door signs for both rooms.
