DDA Chapter 5

I just can't decide which one to do in June...I only want to do 1 water park...

I love the Shark's Reef and Crush'n Gusher at Typhoon Lagoon. Chuck loves the surf pool and Crush'n Gusher. We both love Teamboat Springs at Blizzard Beach. They both have lazy rivers.

If I could only do one, it would be Typhoon Lagoon because my very favorite thing to do was the shark's reef. I really enjoyed Blizzard Beach as well though.

Chuck's initial reaction is that Blizzard Beach is a little slower paced and more family oriented. Not sure where that comes from.

None of us have been brave enough to do the big slides at either park.

Hey Terry...

I was so excited....I called DCL today to ask them a question...and I also inquired about early dining....she said "you are on a waiting list" I asked her just to humor me and check....guess what...she was able to switch it!!! :yay::yay::yay:

That is too cool.:cool1: :thumbsup2

Alright--need some opinions!
i have a nikon coolpix camera--ive had it a few years and now when i take pictures, the camera basically shuts off for some seconds then turns back on for another picture.

Ive been thinking about getting a new camera later this year..but now with this trip in may--im wondering ifI should get one earlier..but i know NOTHING about cameras at all.
I dont want something too complicated--i like having some different settings, but nothing too crazy..
any ideas on where to start? im clueless!!

While at Costco today we saw the coolest thing....a 245 piece of paperware...in either princess or finding nemo. I bet we'll get one of them for the kiddos birthdays

ohh I wonder if sams would have this?

do you vaguely remember what was in it?

The crush'n gusher at Typhoon Lagoon was cool because it is a water roller coaster (not a slide) like other parks. Also, the surf pool was really cool if your kids would like that. Those are the only things that really make it a difference.

I think if I was in your situation, I would do Typhoon Lagoon because it has the most unique stuff in my opinion.

Others have said they won't do blizzard beach because they are trying to get away from the "snow". :lmao:

Which day are you thinking of doing the water park? If it is one of the days that we will be at one of the parks, I want to tell you that one so we can run into each other! :lmao:

kids=no problem
Bill=it's going to be interesting!! ;)

BTW...I posted your magnet on the cruise thread...let me know if you need changes

Thanks for taking the time to do it. I will pop over there right now!

June 2nd...

tell me one more time....what are your dates

I want to cry! POTC is closed from June 5 - June 18. I so wanted my niece & nephew to see this. I have to make sure I let them know so that they aren't disappointed when we get there. Why are they closing such an important ride just as school gets out across the country? :confused3 Normally closures wouldn't bother me but this was one of the main things I wanted to show the kids. I'm hoping I didn't talk it up too much!

Bernadette,
Great job on the shirt. The back looks complicated. I am so impressed with anyone who can make clothes!!!

Emma is getting so big. Nice pictures of all the kids.

it's two months away...the dates may change...that's one thing I've learned doing the Disneyland closures.:wizard: that POTC will be open for you...but still prepare the kiddos for it not to be open.

It's about your comfort level...but I never have them set it up for me...they always want to sell you that service and I really don't think it's necessary...and as far as virus, I use Avast on all of the computers..it's free and works really well. I have had so many issue with Norton and some of the other big names...
Thanks for mentioning Avast. My virus protection expires in a few weeks. :teeth:
For anyone who is going on, or who has done a 3 day cruise...what day would you/are you doing Palo?
Don't laugh when I say this...but since you got confirmed for early dining, some people will "double book" their dinners. Eat just soup/salad at early dinner, then book a late dinner at Palo and "eat" then. Just a suggestion!

I have a Canon Powershot. But I'm odd in the fact that I like a camera that has substance - something I can hold. This camera takes four AA batteries - and you can hold it comfortably in one hand. It takes great photos, gives you basic plus different settings as well as panoramic shots. There are many versions out now based on pixel size and year of production. Takes SD memory cards though...not sure what your Nikon takes.

Evening everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Tomorrow is Opening Day for the Cleveland Indians - vs the Chicago White Sox of course!
PLEASE pray for weather warmer than 50 degrees! :rotfl: And no rain.

It's funny you say this...I did do that for Palo. I didn't how else to handle it...I figured a salad with the kids...and then a bigger dinner at 9 pm at palo
