Oops...
I might add - choose your airline wisely. Although Jet Blue is cheaper - I do prefer United for a number of selfish reasons - one advantage though that all can benefit from is if you buy at so-and-so a price and later see a fare for the exact same flights you have - only lower - then you can call United and they will issue you a credit voucher for the difference - in effect giving you the lower fare. We've always flown United (95% of the time) and now have a ton of miles with them. This helps a little when stand by folks and upgrades are choosen - sometimes. And we are familiar with their rules, quirks and lesser know benefits.
Check your choosen airlinje for their rules on recovering future price reductions - if at all. This ability will enable you to casually shop it and possibly capture the lowest fare of the year while holding a reservation from day 1 when the fares are released!

Jet Blue gives you credit as well. If a price is reduced just calll and they will give you the difference. With the credits we got last year our flight to WDW this year was paid with the credits. Our flight home is paid for by the free flights Brendan earned on his Jet Blue credit card. We are banking free flights to pay for our flights next year to LGB and home from Orlando!

If someone wants to do this more than I do, they are welcome -- or maybe we can do it as a committee . . . I just responded because i was willing, not because I couldn't live without compiling a fish extender list!

If we're forming a committee - please consider me for inclusion. :thumbsup2

OK, with all this interest in a fish extender committee, let's form it and remember that it will require a planning meeting at a bar on the Magic to be determined later . . .:thumbsup2

I will be available to assist all dissers at the bars throughout the cruise. AS the cruise gets closer, we can finalize the details. Anyone wishing to assist me at the bars will be welcome.:woohoo:

Jack....I think my dh can help out with that "task force". Do you have your refillable DCL beer mug ready?

Well....

... it looks like United is effectively siupplanted for the TOAL with our family. With $99 one way flights on advance purchase from coast to coast why would I insist on flying United? I'll be booking it the day (or week) it opens up for advance purchase. And for that matter I'm gonna give Jet Blue a second glance to familarize myself with their city routes. Below is an obviously INCOMPLETE flight network map (2004)...

Anyone know if they give reserved seats or is it a cattle car like southwest? I used to detest the cattle car approach and hence I'd rarely fly SWA. I kno I could look it up on JBs' site - but if someone know then everyone interested will benefit from the knowledge.

I'm off to take a dreaded Stress Test, I really hate these things.
The last 2 that I had ended up with surgery and I don't want a 3rd. :sad2:

Remember, MR has a cordless blender. The blender will travel with us from room to room.:rotfl2: First one to the room buys the new batteries.

Check this out! For those really BIG portable blender jobs they have a model powered by a gasoline fueled engine!

I predict you WON'T need any further surgery or procedures following the stress test...

Take it easy and let the professionals take care of your health!

greetings pirate:s

I don't have to for ketchup right now, but I wanted to check in and let you know that we found a house (rental) in the Mount Vernon area about 3 blocks from the Mount Vernon Yacht Club (we're not rich, but we can see it from here!). There is even a plaque by the front door that says it sits on land that was part of George Washington's Five Farms of Mount Vernon. We're about a mile from George's house. We're going to make a sign for the guest room that says "George Washinton's tobacco slept here" or something like that. :lmao:

All the other areas we looked in made us grumpy - too much traffic, too many people, too much suburban sprawl. This area is less commercial, less congested and much better for us.

Anyway, I had a 3 hour job interview yesterday that seemed to have gone well & I have an interview at Mount Vernon next week. Of course living a mile away from there, I just guaranteed that I won't get that job...that's the way my life goes.

I hope all is well and I will try to ketchup in a few days.

How do we get enough gas on board?

istockphoto_116936_sneaky_business.jpg

The ship displaces 87,000 tons... you figure somewhere on the ship they MUST have something run on gasoline? Otherwise just pack a gas can in a resealed case of drinking water and ship it through to the ship .... preferably to a neighbors' cabin ... and intercept it before your neighbor gets it or opens it! Of course, I nevber said the gas powered blender was SERIOUSLY NEEDED?

<chuckles>

Hello,

I haven't been on in a while and am in desparate need of catching up. How do I get included in access to the website?

Thanks,
Bernadette

Reserved, leather seats; in flight TV . . . I swear, once I went once (fairly early in their history) I didn't want to fly anyone else. And, no, I don't work for them . . .
