Tom looks like you have a volunteer already but if Julie wants or you need or whatever.........just let me know. We did Room numbers on a spread sheet with board names and #room numbers. Anyone that wanted to give out little presents to the fish extenders would just e-mail for the list. I guess it all depends on what people want to share what info. We have lots of time!!!:goodvibes

Like I told Tom, if you need help or anything just let me know.:thumbsu

I will be available to assist all dissers at the bars throughout the cruise. AS the cruise gets closer, we can finalize the details. Anyone wishing to assist me at the bars will be welcome.:woohoo:

A few months and a few weeks ago I did same days (not dates) this year, Philly to LA, LA to Philly flying out friday back Labor day and got $250 per person "round" trip

I hope SWA resume their direct flights to LAX next year or it looks like i'm going to have to add a couple hours to our flight time.

I will fly either BWI or Philly to LAX...This years fares were in the $120 or less for that one way this year. Saw a couple dings in the $89-99 ish range.

MCO to BWI will be easy. My co-worker and co-dis conspirater is flying home this year on SWA and got her $79 fares for Labor Day. (of course she booked those in like March/April; 1st day released.)

Anyone wishing to assist me at the bars will be welcome.:woohoo:

Excuse me sir...can i help you carry that rum? :thumbsup2

Crash, you need to adjust dates. Next year flying out will be Saturday ($225 on Airtran with 1 stop, about the same non-stop JFK-Burbank on JetBlue) and return will be on Monday, Labor Day ($92 on Delta with one stop, $177 non stop JetBlue to JFK, $224 nonstop to EWR on Continental). These are basically 30 day fares, which tend to be higher than 6-9 months out.

Airfare will not come on line until Sept 22 or so and that's when you start shopping. I use sidestep to shop around

I thought I was the only one that discovered sidestep to shop around.:lmao: :thumbsup2 I have a about $324 with the hours and non-stop I prefer. As much as I hate a certain airline here:sad2: , I have lot of miles with them.:rolleyes1 I also have $75 vouchers because they made mistakes on this years trip to WDW. I was over-charged $3300  on two tickets from Chicago to Orlando.

Does that also include finding are cabins from the back of Deck 7 where MR will be with her blender????:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Remember, MR has a cordless blender. The blender will travel with us from room to room.:rotfl2: First one to the room buys the new batteries.

The good news is that I have confirmed with our willing volunteers for the Secret Mickey (links on website) that they will continue to do this (but NOT until after some Med trips, etc. are out of the way).

I would suggest that (if there is a volunteer) we have everyone e-mail a specific person if interested in Fish Mail. A few months/weeks out we can decide if we want to e-mail room #s or post somewhere or how the logistics will work and give everyone interested an opt out at that point.

No sense posting one room number (the same # most people have, how's it spelled GTO, no... ummm GTY that's it) for the next six or ten months.

Thoughts, suggestions, volunteers?

I stand ready to volunteer as a gopher to do what ever needs doing. Just consider me as a potential volunuteer in any capacity. Well... I draw the line at indentured servant - so I would like to contribute opinions at the very least as we move forward. :confused3

Thanks I think I will shop around ... I did play lets pretend its this year and would probally save 1400

The quote was for 4 2A and 2K
Sorry I forgot to metion that

Crash where do you see Jetblue to LAX I dont seethat they fly there. Is there an alternate airport we can use that is close to the terminal????
We have the ground transportation already booked through Disney do I have to use LAX or do I have a choice???

Oops...

... I was quoting Jet blue on their engine to LONG BEACH. WHich is probably a lot closer to the port then LAX - more or less. And as Tom31 pointed out ... the 2008 dtaes for the 16th to the 30th or 1st fall on different days of the week then the ones I used. So the pricing will vary with the loads on those particular days.

I might add - choose your airline wisely. Although Jet Blue is cheaper - I do prefer United for a number of selfish reasons - one advantage though that all can benefit from is if you buy at so-and-so a price and later see a fare for the exact same flights you have - only lower - then you can call United and they will issue you a credit voucher for the difference - in effect giving you the lower fare. We've always flown United (95% of the time) and now have a ton of miles with them. This helps a little when stand by folks and upgrades are choosen - sometimes. And we are familiar with their rules, quirks and lesser know benefits.

Check your choosen airlinje for their rules on recovering future price reductions - if at all. This ability will enable you to casually shop it and possibly capture the lowest fare of the year while holding a reservation from day 1 when the fares are released!

Of course, in my case flying one one way is a small flight - and I may very well use Jet Blue - only flying into Burbank from Orlando as opposed to Long Beach.

And as I originally suggested... and seeing you cite an estimated savings of $1400... I WAS correct in that I could arrange flights for you from NY to LA then MCO to NY PLUS a round trip from NY to Paris for two including 6 nites hotel ( a zero star dump) with $400 left over for food, shopping or upgrading the hotel.

I Love Jetblue!!! In fact for this years trip we are flying into Fort lauderdale from Long beach. Driving up to Vero beach for the night and heading to WDW the next day (we've done this twice before). Jetblue doesn't fly direct to or from Orlando to Long beach or Burbank. :sad2: It goes through JFK!!!

So my return flight is always a problem. I'm not a fan of "United". Have not had such good luck with it. But our only choices for direct flights on the return are United or Delta. I miss "Song"!!! :guilty:

Laura--I saved a link to your blog, looking forward to following your adventure!!! Have a MAGICal time..........:thumbsup2

If someone wants to do this more than I do, they are welcome -- or maybe we can do it as a committee . . . I just responded because i was willing, not because I couldn't live without compiling a fish extender list!

.

JetBlue will give you a credit if you call and have seen a price reduction -- I've done it many times with great customer service. Then the next time you book a flight, the credit comes off what you pay for that flight.
