Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center Now Located in Terminal *B*

Sorry, I am now confused by some of the posts here.

We arrive (hopefully) Nov 9th around 11:30 am on Airtran. I know I come out of the monorail, and walk left. Do I have to stop on Level 2 for baggage claim, or do I go directly to level 1 to check in for ME? I have luggage tags and I plan on using them. Disney still picks up the luggage, right?

Proceed to Terminal B, Level 1.

Yes, Disney will still automatically deliver all checked luggage with a DME luggage tag on it. Skip baggage claim and follow Tyler's directions. :thumbsup2

Here you go, this is the map on the inside of the DME booklet.

Thanks for the handy dandy map! Makes things easier to see.

For those coming from gates 60-129, it may look like a long walk, but it really isn't. And if you go through the Mall/Food Court area, they have moving sidewalks to make it easier.

Can anyone who's arrived using DME since Tues 10/3 (when the Welcome Center switch from A to B was scheduled to happen) actually confirm that yes, the DME Welcome Center is now in Terminal B?

We'll be in the World in less than 48 hrs! :)

Yes it's moved to Side B....if Tyler says it's so, it's so. Have a great trip!!!

:worship: Thank you!!! Looks like we won't be getting our Magical Express package in time for our departure so I'm going to print that map so we know where we're going. Very helpful!

The current DME desk is right below SW baggage claim. Should be go directly to level one and then walk or would it be faster to walk on level three to a specific escalator/elevator and then go to level one?.
Makes no difference time wise. The total distance is about the same.

If you are at the Hyatt Hotel end (end further from ME) and want to use the moving sidewalks you would need to traverse the terminal on Level 3 and then find the neon B and the escalator down.

We are staying overnight at an airport hotel on Thursday night and then having the hotel shuttle bring us back to the airport REALLY early on Friday. To get as close as possible to the ME desk, where should we tell the shuttle service to drop us off at? I am totally confused with the map.

Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere.:confused3

The hotel shuttle should be able to go to Level 1, ask the driver. If they can, ask to be dropped off at "B high numbers". They should know what you're talking about, just tell them you're catching the DME bus. That would be the easiest.

If they can't, Tyler's suggestion is the 2nd easiest :)

Found this for anyone who may be confused about where to go. It's got a few different views of the layout of MCO and also one which says which airlines land on which side.

Thanks for posting this. I am still a little confused. Oh well...I am sure it will all work out.

Sorry to ask, are there a lot of buses available by Disney at the airport to quickly take you to your resort or is everything set up with departure times. Or do they wait until the buses are fully loaded.

Also your bags, if its taken care of for you, how fast do they get it to your resort and in your room?

Thanks for your help.:)

It takes, on average, about 70 minutes from deplaning to your resort. This time can be changed by the actual time of day you arrive into MCO. Those arriving mid-afternoon may find slightly longer waits. The buses are dispatched as needed. You may find you have to wait in the bus line for about 10 minutes if you have just missed the previous bus. They do not wait to fill the bus up....I believe they have a set time they will wait and that's it.
As far as your bag delivery goes, that's a whole different story. If your room is ready when you get to your resort, you may find that your bags arrive in your room within an hour or two...possibly up to three hours. If your room is not ready yet, then leave your carryon bags with bell services and head out to a park. Your bags should be in your room when you return. Just be sure to have whatever you will need for the first part of your day in your carryon bags.

Thank you, I really appreciate your response Goofy4Tink. We plan on making are reservations today.

Thanks again for your help.:)

Our flight is scheduled to arrive in Orlando at 11:00 p.m. Will ME still be able to pick up our checked luggage and bring it to our resort for delivery to our room the next morning or will we need to get it ourselves and take it on the bus with us to the resort?
