Dene hon I thought about sending you this in a PM but I thought that many others here could benefit from what I am about to say as well.

Girl - I am so proud of you. Not just for losing the weight. But for finally loving yourself enough to take control of your habits and mold them into something positive. Yes you have had a support group. Yes you have Hunky trainer dude. BUT most importantly, you have Dene' who is a beautiful, intelligent, funny woman. Then she started losing weight, and you should see her now.... Your story was hilarious and touching and at the end I know there is a happy ending. But please know that "male companionship" is not the measure of the woman. When the right man comes along you will know it. But he cant see you if you don't love yourself. So your stepping out into the new world you are seeing with fresh new eyes, its just one baby step in the way of progress. You are strong, you are motivated. You have learned to love Dene for who she is....and have decided to show her that you love her by letting her find her way in this great big world again. The rest will happen in its own time. Good Job Girlfriend. Obiwan didn't do this - Grasshopper did, You possess the power to make your goal and I know you can do it.

PS - where's the picture already?!!!???!!! Whats he want an special invite?:confused3 pirate: hehe

Am I the only geek who listens to MouseInfo Radio all day! Even the kids are making fun of me. Tell me I'm not alone?!

When I am home, I like to listen to DIS radio. I'll have to try this one!

:
I know :yay: read my tags from top to bottom, the tag fairy has got a sense of humour :thumbsup2

You go from 1 tag to 3 in a matter of a week??? How'd you do that? I can't seem to get 1 tag! :sad1: (And they are funny when you read them in order like one long sentence! :rotfl2: )

My food today:
B: coffee/oatmeal/strawberries
L: Wendy's Oriental Mandarin Chicken Salad/Jr. Cheeseburger/iced tea
S: 3 toffees/water
D:chicken/broccoli

Dene...Loved the "Sunday Sdventures of Dene"! :rotfl: Sounds like you had a great time!

Bee...WOOHOOTY on 10lbs!!! Guess you're not stress eating like I would be. WTG!

Allie...Congrats on 1000 posts! My 500th past me very quietly before I noticed! :confused3

Food recommendation coming your way!!

I dont know if you all have tried these before or not, but I dont htink I have seen thm talked about here. I just had one of the SB wraps. So GOOD! they come with enough to make 2 wraps, and jello for 220 calories! I just had a ham and turkey with cheese one. The asian chicken salad one is good too.

Small tots from Sonic = 220 cals. Large = 330 cals. Definitely a splurge worth doing once in a while!

Some other fast foods that you can do... two crunchy tacos, no cheese, from Taco Bell = 300. Add a pintos and cheese (180) for 480, not a bad lunch. You could also do spicy chicken soft tacos for 180 each.

KFC... 1 chicken breast, don't eat skin, = 150 cals. Add mashed&gravy, 140, and corn on the cob, 70, and you have a 360 meal. You can even eat the biscuit for an extra 220.

I have to be able to incorporate fast food into my choices or I won't be able to stick to this long term. There are days when cooking is just not an option.

My goal is to be 190 when I leave for WDW on May 12. Only 6.8 lbs.

DENE-if you are around...

Stay safe! I see on the news here that there is a bad storm near Granbury, and they say it is very possibly becoming a tornado.

The really bad weather usually misses us, so I dont think it is headed my way. But it has been raining all day here.

...am cleaning and am on my way to terrorize the neighborhood and lay out , in a bathing suit !! :scared1:

I would like to lay out too but here is the weather at my house:

Thanks for all the comments on my DD8's weight issues. The thing is I have made alot of changes around here but I took a hard look at the situation and there is much room for improvement. She has a huge appetite(will out eat my DH if I let her) so we had a talk last night.Mainly our motto is the best choice possible.I know if I restrict her too much it will backfire.A couple of examples of what we have done.Sugar is pretty much out of the house already because of DS9's ADHD .Last night we ate out at Wendy's and she chose a grilled chicken salad and yogurt.:thumbsup2 At the ballfield she was offered a caprisun and a small bag of cookies.I let her choose one of them and she had the cookies and a bottle of water.:thumbsup2 She plays soccer twice a week and the other days she plays in the yard(trampoline, bikes, kickball). If any of you have any more suggestions I would love to hear them. She has been hurt lately by other little girls about this and was uncomfortable ay a slumber party this past weekend. Also she is embarrassed by having to wear a bra. Thanks for letting me talk this out.My DH hasn't been any help.He says that when she wants boys to look at her she will stop eating.:sad2:

Bee,way to go on the loss!!!:cool1:

Dance,I love the wraps!!

Dragonfly,is okay. She has been traveling alot(Brazil last week) and this is her busy time a work(lumber buyer).I will tell her she was asked about.

:grouphug: Amy - Just follow your instinct, being there for her... and letting her have the cookies - also Kat posted some great fast food choices -

as for the bra - dd in 4th grade "needs" a bra, but hardly anyone else does... (I'm a mom I tried to pay attention) Well at first she was excited, I bought her 4 or 5 different styles... and then, I noticed she wasnt wearing them.. I kept my mouth shut - but when the Dance came along, and costumes, I knew I was going to have to say something... but the one mom did - cami's everyone is wearing camis, thank goodness they make some with the shelf bras!!!

ah HA!!

So go to Kohls and look for the camisoles with the shelf bras inside!! Everyone here wears them!!

Did she have one of their special waxes while she was there???;)

Harley what you posted to Dene took my breath away - :thumbsup2 it was so what I was thinking, but didnt know how, or if I should say it... blessings to you!

I do hope one day Dene that I can be at that place - you've worked so very hard, you and Lynda to... almost like the lil engine that could.. you have this goal and you just hang in there, and fight for you... one day at a time... its not been easy... its been work... in the meantime, I've been flitting, floating, whining, cheesing... then one day I look at your post in admiration... wondering if "someday" I'll get there too!!

:grouphug:

Jeriber - love your pictures!! Crazy weather indeed!

Also saying a prayer for my fellow hoosiers - just heard a newsflash about a prison uprising... stole my breath away - my dear cousin works in an office at a prison in Michigan City In, this uprising is in New Castle - near Indianapolis...

Dragonfly - stay safe!

Your DH sounds like mine. My DD needed a bra around 8 but DH threw a fit. So we did layered shirts for a while and now this past Christmas she got her first bra at 9. She was very excited to begin with and now I can;t get her to put one on.

I will have to go look for these as DD hates wearing bras--this might work.

Here is a god snack idea that we like at our house.

2 lowfat graham crackers. Low fat whip cream. Place whip cream on one cracker and put the other on top. Put saran wrap around and place in freezer. This turns out just like an ice cram bar and I think it is like 1 point maybe two. My kids love this and so do I.

I also wanted to echo Sandy's comments about how eloquent Harley's comments to Dene' were. HARLEY, YOU ROCK!

Dene', your story was a classic!!! Yes. Vicarious living at it's finest!

Did she have one of their special waxes while she was there???;)

Did I tell you guys about my career change coming this year? THAT wax job (ALL hair "down there") is one of the things I'd be learning!!!! GROSS!!!!!
I'd NEVER do it....well, for the right fee...$$$$ And a bottle of Purelle!

:grouphug:
A note from Dr. Phil:
Sandy, what's holding you back? You CAN be there too!!!! You're just as worth while as any of us. Just as worthy. Just as beautiful, inside and out!!! Stop listening to the negative self-talk. You've got all the tools we have. Listen to your heart, not your head. You've got support and friends who love ya!!!

Spongie-
Ok, this isn't TO Spongie, it's ABOUT her....hee hee. I just left her house to return 2 folding tables I borrowed and just as I was leaving, TWO gorgeous, hunky, yummy cable guys arrived at her door!!!!! You'd think I've never seen males before!!! Anyways, I said "By Misty!!!" and whispered, "You Lucky girl!!!" ;) HA!

Does anyone else venture to the Creative dis igns boards? They make designs using photo shop and images gleaned from all over, they create amazing artwork for shirts...

I've been looking for one someone designed a year or so ago... I'll find it... but I stumbled on this one!!
