Not sure if it is or isn't beacuse we don't know the ages of your kids
We paid 9672.86 for 2 adults, 2 kids age 13 & 11 in a cat 4

WOW Joan! Your's is the BEST price for a CAT 4 that I have seen. My children will be 6, 8, and 11. What time did you get your reservations? Congratulations on such a GREAT price.:thumbsup2

I have to :rotfl: at the idea of DVC prices being discounted. Once our friends found out how much less we paid for 4 people in the same room as they did for 3 with points, they started booking DCL with cash instead.

No buttons. Someone mentioned making name tags for the first day but many do not wear those, pins, or lanyards because they don't want them in all the pictures.

Lisa--

You are so right about the pins & lanyards & even the sticker sorts of things.

Hmmm....am I the only one here, or is everyone being very, very quiet?

How we plan to pay ours off, which wouldn't be until atleast Feb 2008 at the earliest, is this year's vacation pay (not taking the time off, just taking the pay), this year's tax refund, next year's vacation pay (but really he's taking the time off for the cruise but I refuse to think of it that way LOL), and next year's tax refund.
Done.
:)

We're pretty much doing the same, tax return, DH's year end comp time payout, next years return and hopefully year end bonus for me. But I thought I would also make monthly payments - this way I'm earning interest on some of the money and if I need it for something else, I have it.

Yeah!!! We snagged another 'mini' :woohoo:

I was beginning to wonder if I had scared everyone off!

Congrats to Dznyfan on the Mini pirate:

It's amazing how at times it seems like 100 messages are posted while you are typing yours, yet at other times you are checking your connections to make sure you're still on line!:rotfl:

I just finished typing up the info for 33 families here & there are still tons of emails to go thru. There is the chance for me to transfer our group info to a password protected non commercial website so please bear with us as we try to get that set up. The manifest and Birthdays will remain on the current site temporarily until we are able to make this work. :goodvibes

Sounds great!
I have had such a stressful day, but I've done my best to stop by every once in a while here...
I had an AutoCAD file that I completely lost...I worked on it a lot of the day on Sunday at home on my laptop, and I found out today that the entire day's worth of work is gone...disappeared...no longer exists...I was really really SUPER upset about it this morning, but I am now at the point that I am willing to accept it. The grieving is over, and I will now begin putting the pieces back together....:lmao:
Now I just have a great big headache...and these folks here at work are NOT helping!!! Can I have one of those HUGE dDrinks of the Day from earlier today?!?! I REALLY need one!!

OK, so I better get back to work now...:sad2:

I know -- I had quite a bit of trouble with the math (remember, I am a simpleton) when Lisa asked for kids' ages. Did she want their current age? Their age on the cruise? And Thing 2 (DS-currently-10) has a birthday ON the cruise. So he will be (hang on, need to use fingers and toes, born in 1996, which I only remember because we were living in Atlanta at the time and SWMBO was very pregnant standing in the heat at the Olympics, +10 for 2006, +1 for 2007, carry the, well, no carry) 11 when we board and 12 by the time we leave.

Note to self: order cake for DS on his birthday night. or better yet, alert SWMBO since she will remember and I will not. (simpleton, remember?)

SIL will have her birthday on 8/31 but since that's the last night of the cruise Palo will be closed, yes?

How do we look at the manifest.:confused3 I still do not have room number but will try to send infor out tonight or tomorrow. You are sure doing a great job. :woohoo:

My 42nd birthday is 1st of September. I'll wake-up at 5:30, go to immigration, eat breakfast, and get off the ship. Happy Birthday !! :sad2:

OH, and on one of my little "sanity breaks" earlier, I looked up those silicon bracelets (like the Lance Armstrong ones), and depending on how many we need, we could get lime green ones with the name and date of our cruie engraved into them for somewhere between .69 and $1.49 per bracelet. (those are esimates, as I checked a few different websites.) But thatseems like a really reasonable price!! Most of them group them in quantity tiers: like 100 bracelets or more is a certain price, then 500 bracelets or more, and so on.... Who knows...by the time we get our full count, we may very well need 500 or more!!! Obviously the more you get, the cheaper they are. So that's something to look into!
